SOFEST! Forum France Festivals
On 13 and 14 March 2025, France Festivals organises the SOFEST! Forum in Reims. This 2-day event will allow you to discuss about the festival sector, its dynamics, and challenges, together with French festivals. The Forum will focus on key topics such as ecological transition, improving collaboration, and economic models while providing participants with the tools to shape the future. Debates, keynotes, workshops… plenty of opportunities to spark collective action.
Sensitive to societal changes as well as the consequences of crises that the festival sector has recently faced, France Festivals will host the first edition of a unique event for festivals and their partners on 13 and 14 March 2025, at the Comédie de Reims: SoFEST! Forum France Festivals.
The aim is that the Forum becomes an annual one, with the goal of analysing the dynamics and challenges of the sector while providing participants with the tools to shape the future.
France Festivals' extensive studies show that festivals represent one of the most dynamic cultural phenomena in recent decades in terms of decentralisation and cultural democratisation. They are fertile grounds for experimentation and observation, and as such, they can propose and test a number of systemic changes, essential for addressing the ecological, social, and economic ongoing transformations.
For these reasons, SoFEST! Forum France Festivals will offer a unique programme, developed in collaboration with sector professionals and partners, centered on key issues that will guide the federation's actions in the coming years: quality of life and working conditions (QLWC), ecological transition, and the economic model of festivals.
