Applications are now open for the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists (EFFEA) Call #5. From 1 September to 3 November 2026, festivals can apply for funding to support emerging artists across borders through residencies taking place in 2027.

The "Gozo Forum 2026: The Time We Spend Together" brought together cultural professionals, artists, festival makers, policy makers, community workers and European partners for three days of exchange, reflection and dialogue in Malta.

Eight EFA Members were involved in EFFEA Generation 4 as Leading and Partner festivals, playing a pivotal role in providing a creative space for artistic residencies and enabling the emerging artists of their choice to benefit from their rich network and expertise.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Piñeiro Nagy, Founder and Director of the Estoril Lisbon Festival and EFA Honorary Member. EFA is sending its most sincere condolences to the entire family, friends, and the team of Estoril Lisbon Festival.
