France Festivals
- Paris, France
- National or regional festival association
- Collective member
The Federation helps member festivals to develop their artistic identity and to promote the economic, social and cultural contribution they make to France both regionally and nationally. International music festivals in France constitute a significant vector of development for the country: The FFFIM seeks to increase the renown of its members in France and abroad, by providing a bilingual (French/English) web site, a festival brochure, a booth at the Musicora trade show in Paris, two large-scale press conferences in Paris, and one abroad (Brussels), reuniting national, international, and regional press specialized in the music and travel industries. This festival has been an EFA member since 1998. Created in 1959, the French Federation of International Music Festivals (FFFIM) gathers together around 90 of the largest music festivals in France. Our goal is to represent FFFIM members to official authorities and to help promote the artistic events they organize. These festivals, which take place year-round, count among the most prestigious seasonal events in the country. They constitute an exceptional contribution to the cultural development and the growth of the tourist industry nationwide, winning France its reputation as the "Land of Festivals".
