Milica Popovic

Milica Popović is a cultural manager, marketing strategist, educator, and creative project developer from Kotor, Montenegro. She works at the Cultural Center “Nikola Đurković” Kotor, where she focuses on cultural programming, international cooperation, audience development, sponsorship strategies, and the positioning of cultural institutions within wider European networks.

Her professional background combines culture, digital innovation, education, and heritage interpretation. Alongside her work in the cultural sector, she teaches Information Technology and actively explores the intersection of creativity, technology, and community engagement. Her practice is particularly focused on developing contemporary approaches to cultural heritage through storytelling, participatory experiences, and cross-sector collaboration.

Milica is actively involved in international cultural networks and initiatives, including the European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC), Europeana Network Association, Europa Nostra, and The Festival Academy alumni community. Through these platforms, she contributes to discussions on the future of cultural participation, digital heritage, and the evolving role of cultural institutions and festivals in society.

She is also the creator of “Kotor Legends - Teuta”, a long-term interdisciplinary project that reimagines shared Balkan and Mediterranean heritage through digital archives, interpretive storytelling, workshops, and future performative formats aimed at younger generations and international audiences.
