Milena Lubarda Marojević

Milena Lubarda Marojevic was the Director of the "Theatre City Budva" festival for many years, which stands strong for almost four decades (established in 1987), an international address worthy of various important encounters and the performance of the most attractive theatre programmes and music with the addition of promoting the most significant artistic heritage together with the very best of literature. This is an art festival that takes place during July and August every year, outdoors, amidst the tourist crowds, in squares and streets.

Experience in managing a festival that has survived numerous historical, economic, and political turbulences over 40 years, opens up many new interests. In today's time, it is most important to find points through which it is possible to connect the worlds of performing arts that emerge in different contexts and cultures. That is why festivals are here. In the end, that's also what art is for. 

She is now responsible of organising EFA's Arts Festivals Summit, hosted by Theatre City Budva from 16 to 19 May 2026.
