They look at both metropolitan hubs and rural regions, noting that some of the most exciting festivals are emerging from the “outskirts.” The conversation also reflects Sweden’s east-west dynamic, with Erik joining from Stockholm and Kattie representing the west coast region that invests more public funding per capita in culture than anywhere else in the country.
