In this episode, Simon Mundy meets Vladyslav Troyitsky, Founder and President of the Festival of Contemporary Art GogolFest, and Anna Basova, Programme Director of the of the Festival of Contemporary Art GogolFest.
The GogolFest takes place from 18 till 20 October 2024
Gogolfest is an international multidisciplinary festival of contemporary art. The festival was created in 2007 in Kyiv and has been taking place in different cities of Ukraine and the world.
The GOGOLFEST festival includes theatrical, alternative and academic music programmes, visual, educational and children's parts, crosssectoral art residencies and film projects. Also, GOGOLFEST is the only one festival in Ukraine that creates large-scale site-specific projects in unique locations.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the activities of the GOGOLFEST have been reoriented towards international activities.
