Construction Festival takes place from 29 till 31 August 2025

Construction Festival returns to Dnipro this August. Since 2014, Construction Festival has been a meeting point of contemporary art, experimental music, activism, and the transformation of public space in Ukraine. The festival inhabits abandoned places and reimagines them, embodying concepts and experiences where dualities coexist: resilience and fragility, strength and vulnerability, destruction and creation. Dnipro, a city so close to the frontline, becomes at once fragile and alive, wounded and resilient.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Construction has taken place abroad with European partners. From 29 to 31 August, the festival returns to its roots, working directly with Dnipro’s spaces and grassroots initiatives.

Construction IX: Routine Flux will focus on the duality of spaces, concepts, and experiences: resilience and fragility, strength and vulnerability, infrastructure and heritage as both foundation and battleground.

Construction Festival and Culturescapes join forces through the initiative Joining Hands and Hearts.
