Its commitment to fostering artistic collaboration, interaction, and the exchange of ideas makes EFA a cornerstone of cultural dialogue. Through its initiatives, such as the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists (EFFEA), FestivalFinder.eu networking sessions, Denis de Rougement Forum and Perform Europe, EFA enhances connections between festivals, countries, cities. This dynamic environment fosters collaborations and exchanges between festivals and countries and strengthens the European arts scene across borders.

The European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists

EFFEA -is  an initiative of the European Festivals Association, is a system built to empower festivals and offer emerging artists a platform to establish themselves on the international stage. EFFEA extends an open invitation for festivals to work across borders and create a network of colleagues with shared goals. It recognises that the future lies in the synergy of diverse perspectives and collective efforts. Through EFFEA, festivals join hands to foster the success of emerging artists. 

The FestivalFinder.eu Networking Moments

The FestivalFinder.eu Networking Moments offer festivals a dedicated space to connect, collaborate, interact, exchange ideas, share knowledge, explore synergies and share best practices. This series of online meetings connects festivals across diverse art disciplines, fostering exchanges and strengthening connections through shared insights and collaborative opportunities. It brings together individuals, festivals, artists and organisations that share a commitment to various topics.

The Denis de Rougemont Forum

The Denis de Rougemont Forum is a collaborative platform to bring together arts festival programmers. It focuses on fostering international dialogue, sharing best practices, and exploring opportunities for cross-border cooperation in the arts. It aims to tackle the gap between East and West in festivals’ international relations by encouraging more co-productions and collaborations among festivals.

Perform Europe

Perform Europe is led by a consortium of European performing arts networks – IETM - International network for contemporary performing arts, European Dance Development Network (EDN), European Festivals Association (EFA), Circostrada, Pearle* (Live Performance Europe), along with research organisation IDEA Consult. It is a forward-looking funding scheme for the European performing arts sector. Through an Open Call Perform Europe supports 42 inclusive, diverse and green touring projects across all 40 Creative Europe countries.
