Ernest Thiesmeier

As an artist I know the importance of networking, advocacy and community, especially in the cultural sector. As part of my work at EFA, I hope to make a positive contribution to the environment in which artists operate. Festivals play a key role for artists and are platforms for showcasing their work.

Ernest Thiesmeier works in administration and organisation at EFA. He is also a visual artist, mainly working via the medium of photo books.

Ernest has previously worked as a project officer for Voices of Culture and i-Portunus at Goethe-Institut Brussels, as well as currently as a freelance photographer and video artist.

He studied at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Trinity College Dublin and LUCA School of Arts.
