The European Festival Awards are honouring Youth projects at festivals.

At EFA's Arts Festivals Summit in Yerevan the session on Sustainability did much to set the agenda for the coming years. It emphasised the leadership role festivals could have in campaigning, by setting examples within their own work to shift events towards carbon neutrality, and by collaborating.

The European Festivals Association (EFA) celebrated its 70th anniversary Arts Festivals Summit 2022 from 11 to 15 September 2022 in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia. 

Festivals are unique platforms that are in touch with millions of young people every day. For young people, festivals are places for international encounters, for self-fulfillment and the development of their lifestyle and personality.

Between December 2020 and June 2021, Perform Europe explored and mapped the context in which performing art works have been presented across borders in the past few years.

What are you up to this summer? Just right for the start of the main festival season, the European Festivals Association joins forces with the European Commission and Yourope for the European Year of Youth.

More than three months after the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army on 24 February, the survey "Festivals programming in time of conflict" unfortunately remains relevant and may identify some important needs.

The European Festivals Association (EFA) condemns Russia's hostilities in Ukraine. For the time being, we will suspend all our activities and all our collaboration projects in Russia and give our full support to the steps to end the war in Europe.
