Creative Island

Creative Island is the Cultural Development Agency for the Isle of Wight, committed to improving the quality of life for all those who live on the Island. Creative Island wants to make the best use of the resources they have, nurture talent, ensure they are better connecting people, encourage collaboration between the Island’s heritage and creative sector and attract new investment into the Island. Creative Island is curious about how to encourage generosity, make connections with other Island communities around the world who share some of the same challenges.

As the Islands Cultural Development Agency, Creative Island convenes regular meetings with the sector to explore ways of improving the ways they can work more collaboratively, make the best use of combined resources, raise their profile & strengthen the relationship with their local authority. These discussions range from compiling a register of public land available for events to how they might influence the installation of public car charging points to be viable alternatives to using generators.

Creative Island is a contemporary, vibrant set of communities of 33 parishes, nine towns and one Island.
